Dan Braden, Associate Managing Editor with Westminster John Knox Press, is a graduate of the University of Louisville with degrees in philosophy and English, and continuing studies in ancient Greek. He lives a peaceful life in Louisville, Kentucky, where he enjoys mountain biking, swimming, hot weather, music, digital technology and futurism, science fiction, cats, and the quiet hope intrinsic in each morning shortly before sunrise.
Jana Riess is an Acquisitions Editor with Westminster John Knox Press. Prior to joining WJK in 2008, she was the religion book review editor for Publishers Weekly. Jana is a well-known figure in the religious publishing world and a respected voice on religion in America. She holds a bachelor’s degree in religion from Wellesley College, an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a PhD in American religious history from Columbia University. Jana is the author or coauthor of six books on spirituality in America. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband and daughter, as well as a retriever-collie mutt christened Saint Onyx. Jana's favorite pastime is reading, for which she blames her terrible taste in music!
